Intimate Elopement in the State Capitol Senate Parlor
Amen and Iaong’s intimate elopement in the State Capitol Senate Parlor was what dreams are made of. These two chose to celebrate with just family on their day, in a rented room at the Wisconsin State Capitol.
I encourage couples to rent either the Senate Parlor or the Assembly Parlor on their elopement day if they want to have an intimate experience. Because the Capitol is a public building, there are always things happening. Tours regularly wander throughout the building, tourists are oftentimes walking around taking photos, students tend to wander in, and more.
Overall, it can be a busy building at times, but luckily for these two, they decided to get married on a Tuesday, which allowed for the building to be mostly empty. I highly recommend picking a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday for your Wisconsin State Capitol Elopement! From my experience, these tend to be the least busy days in the building.
When I first met these two, Amen was anxiously awaiting his bride on the top of the Capitol steps. Iaong giggled as she put her earrings in before tapping him on the shoulder for their first look.
Upon their first look, we wandered throughout the Capitol building, exploring all the nooks and crannies. I showed these two my favorite spots, like the 3rd floor archways. I absolutely adored capturing these two for their portraits. Their easy-going personalities and open ideas were so such a joy!!
As soon as their guests arrived, we set up for their ceremony in the State Capitol Senate Parlor. Amen’s father officiated and guided these two through their vows. With their intimate guest list, Amen and Iaong were able to fully immense themselves in their elopement experience.
Upon saying “I do” Amen and Iaong mingled with their families as I took detail photos and candids. Before leaving, I snuck them outside for a few more portraits.
Capturing these two and their intimate elopement in the State Capitol Senate Parlor was so much fun! I always love capturing couples in intimate environments where they can truly be themselves!!
