She knew exactly what we were looking for and was able to capture it perfectly. We wanted mix of the traditional photos and the documentary-style action shots and she got both perfectly. “My husband and I got married in June and hired Anya as our wedding photographer, and it’s not an understatement to say that choosing her was the best decision we made for our wedding! We spent hours researching wedding photographers and immediately fell in love with Anya’s photography style and overall vibe when we came across her page. She is the total package—organized, punctual, efficient, personable, and, of course, shoots and edits absolutely GORGEOUS photos!
Anya shot both our wedding and engagement sessions. She sent out a comprehensive survey to help understand our vision for both sessions. She helped us choose the ideal venue, Devil’s Lake, for our engagement photos, and provided us with enough information so that we felt extremely prepared for the shoot. As we had never had professional photos taken of us as a couple, we were pretty nervous about the session, but Anya immediately made us feel so comfortable. The photos came out incredible, and she captured our relationship perfectly!!
For our wedding, we decided on the 6-hour package, and even with the shorter time frame, we were able to get a huge selection of photos including details, getting ready, wedding party and family portraits, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception (dinner, speeches, dancing), and multiple shoots with just the couple (first look, short session at the end of our cocktail hour, sunset photos). The bridal party was running behind getting to the venue and getting ready and Anya was able to quickly adapt to keep us on track and still get through all of the family portraits before the ceremony. We were absolutely amazed at how she was able to capture every small moment in such a short amount of time!
We got our photos back in a truly shockingly fast timeframe and were thrilled with the results. We chose an old dairy barn as our wedding venue and were a bit worried about the vibe being too rustic/farmer, but she followed our garden/nature aesthetic preferences to a T. Also, my mother-in-law was worried about her dress showing up as off-white in the photographs, and Anya went back in and edited her dress to read as more champagne without question. From the photos, you could truly feel the love and joy that we felt in the moment, and I can guarantee we will never tire of looking back on the best day ever!!

She also helps keep everything on track throughout the day and made sure the schedule I came up with was reasonable. On top of that, multiple of our guests commented on how much fun Anya was to work with. We had multiple people reach out amazed with how much fun she was on the dance floor and how she seemed to be everywhere getting all the shots. She is also crazy efficient at getting you the sneak peek photos, which is so nice to be able to look through lots of photos the day after your wedding!
