UW Arboretum Engagement Session
Olivia and Nick’s UW Arboretum Engagement session this past November was so much fun! These two are a blast to hang out with, so getting to know them on a deeper level was a great way to spend the afternoon.
When any wedding couple books their session, they immediately receive a questionnaire so I can get to know them better and help plan their engagement session! These two were pretty much open to anything and were more focused on having a good time in nature. Thus, I recommended the UW Arboretum. Located just off the beltline, the UW Arboretum is perfect for photos in any season! They have a great variety of blooming magnolias in springtime. Summertime lends itself to gorgeous flowers throughout the acres of land. In the fall, all of the trees are golden with brilliant reds, oranges and yellows. Winter at the UW Arboretum is beautiful with evergreens and tons of trails to explore.
“Widely recognized as the site of historic research in ecological restoration, the Arboretum includes the oldest and most varied collection of restored ecological communities in the world.” – UW Arboretum’s website
One of my favorite things about the UW Arboretum is the variety they have for each couple. If a couple wants to have a more luxurious feel to their photos, we can plan accordingly to match the background to their vision. The amount of trails is also a great stepping stone for couples who love to explore. At each UW Arboretum engagement session, I uncover new places to capture couples and explore!
While we walked through the UW Arboretum, I guided Olivia and Nick into simple poses and prompts. This helped showcase how much fun they like to have together. It was so obvious when capturing these two that their wedding day at Blackhawk Country Club will be so fun!
Any time at the UW Arboretum is perfect for engagement sessions, and they’re one of my biggest recommendations to couples!
