British Inspired Engagement Tea Party | Bri & Pat

This British-inspired engagement tea party hosted by Bri and Pat was a perfect way to spend a Sunday! These two thrifted for months to make sure their party was the perfect representation of a tea party their guests would love.

Bri and Pat decided to elope in Summer 2023, but they wanted to celebrate their engagement with their closest friends and family. Their British-inspired tea party was a great theme!

I first photographed their beautiful details, which included their invitations, ring and a map of the place they got engaged. I loved the details they put into their party and it was so cute to get creative with photographing the rings!

The table decor was another great detail! I loved the intricate designs of the plates they thrifted and I especially loved photographing the treats and tea making station.

I made sure to photograph a ton of candids of all their guests as most of their families aren’t local to Madison, so I knew that would be important for the two of them. Capturing everyone having a great time, enjoying tea and pastries was a lot of fun.

At the tail end of their party, I pulled Bri and Pat for a few portraits along the lakefront. It was a warm day and a storm was coming in on the horizon of Lake Mendota. It gave everything a bright and soft light that was great for photos! We walked to the pier and around the grass before heading to a little street for some more intimate portraits.

This British Inspired engagement tea party was so much fun to photograph and I’m so excited that Bri and Pat asked me to capture it!
