Northwoods Wisconsin Lake Wedding | Liz & Greg
Liz and Greg’s colorful Northwoods Wisconsin lake wedding was one of my favorite days to capture in 2022.
The early July North woods Wisconsin lake wedding started slow. Liz and her friends got ready in one of the cabins at Chippewa Retreat Resort. Her room had a private dock and overlooked the lake. I photographed their details and Liz told me that her dress was the first one she tried on, no joke. She just knew, ya know? Just like she knew Greg was her person (I’m not crying, you are!).
Liz and Greg’s first look was on that very dock. She tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around and pulled her in for a hug and kiss.
We took portraits next to the beautiful lake between tall pine trees. Their ceremony included a special song for their love and a sweet reading for the friends and family.
Cocktail hour was next to the pool with shaded umbrellas to keep the heat at bay, and custom drinks. The reception started with a grand entrance that lead right into Liz and Greg’s first dance.
The speeches from their friends and family made sure there wasn’t a single dry eye in the house, including mine! I always leave wedding days wishing that I knew more about my couples. This day was no exception.
Sunset portraits took place along the lake, on a pier, and within the pines. Once dancing began, everyone crowded the dance floor to celebrate the couple!
The Casey’s North woods Wisconsin lake wedding at C hippewa Retreat Resort was one of my favorites of the year!
