Intimate Downtown Madison Elopement | Stephanie & Thomas

Stephanie and Thomas asked me to photograph their intimate downtown Madison elopement on a brisk day in late March.

I’m not going to lie and say that this was a warm day, but I will say that I think none of us even thought about the cold as we witnessed these two commit their lives to one another. Thomas, originally from the UK, had a few members of his family present to watch him marry his best friend. Stephanie also had her parents and a few friends who officiated the ceremony.

I met everyone at the Monona Terrace and was greeted warmly and felt like a part of the clan. Everyone got right to the point and their ceremony was quick and hilarious. I definitely laughed out loud a couple of times and a smile was permanently on my face throughout the entire event.

We took a few family photos and portraits before heading to Square Wine, where Stephanie and Thomas has reserved space for everyone to celebrate!

They cut cake, shared a few glasses of vino and laughed as everyone talked and told stories.

What a great day to be apart of! Stephanie and Thomas’s intimate downtown Madison elopement was one of my favorites and a great start to 2022!
