Madison Fall Engagement Session | Holly & Dan

The perfect trifecta: cats, boats, the capitol and books. Holly and Dan’s Madison fall engagement session was filled with color and lots of laughter.

I was so excited when Holly reached out and asked me to photograph her and Dan’s engagement session! These two high school sweethearts were so fun to photograph and it was great getting a glimpse into their love.

Their session started at their home on Madison’s east side. Their front yard was decorated with Halloween elements and their cat was curiously peeking out the front door window.

Holly and Dan introduced me to their adorable cat and shared some kombucha as they played cribbage and watched a snippet of a horror film. I always encourage my couples to bring elements of their relationship and hobbies they love into their session.

Our next stop was Brittingham Boats, a special place in Holly and Dan’s hearts. We explored the cute lakeside park and walked around the boats as the leaves fell at our feet. After, we drove to Madison’s Capitol and parked by the library where we would finish our session.

We embraced the last of daylight at the Capitiol building. I asked Holly and Dan to throw leaves and run around like little kids. Their carefree energy really helped make their session so much fun.

Lastly, we walked to the downtown Madison Public Library branch and took photos highlighting one of their other hobbies: reading! The downtown library branch is my favorite and I love the design elements throughout!

I loved Holly and Dan’s Madison fall engagement session and I was so happy they asked me to capture this time in their lives!

Are you planning a session like Holly and Dan’s? I’d love to be your photographer! Reach out today!
