Garden Microwedding at the Tinsmith | Jen & Sabrina

Jen and Sabrina’s garden microwedding at the Tinsmith in downtown Madison was a beautiful celebration of love.

Their microwedding was entirely organized by the Tinsmith and included an officiant (Dominique of Wood Violet Events), photographer, flowers, and grazing trays. Before their wedding day, I had briefly talked with Jen and Sabrina to learn more about what they wanted to remember from their day. It’s always a little nerve-wracking to not meet a couple before their wedding day. I was glad that we seemed to click and get along right away!

I loved that they chose dresses that really seemed to represent them. They were simple but very beautiful and flattering and went together so well. Their flowers were bright and colorful and seemed to match their personalities so well.

The entire garden microwedding at the Tinsmith was perfect and something that I’d love to photograph more of. Elopement days are so special because they include the most important people in a couples’ lives. They also tend to be filled with activities and moments that mean the most to each couple. For example, due to the smaller size of their wedding, Jen and Sabrina were able to bring their dog to their ceremony and be in a few photos with them! Sometimes, having a smaller guest list can mean cutting a lot of things out, but it can also mean more time with the people (and pets!) that you love.

I loved the portraits that we took on this wedding day because they really felt to show the care free feeling that these two had about their relationship. They laughed and smiled as we walked around outside of the venue and were so easy to photograph! Sometimes, being a wedding photographer is the best because I’m able to capture people on their best days.
